TERM TIME YOGA WITH KARINE

Karine began teaching as part of the University of Birmingham Yoga Society many years ago, and continues to offer them weekly Beginner Yoga every Wednesday during term times.

Her down to earth, accessible and inclusive style is very popular, and past members of the society have gone on to train in Yoga and wellbeing areas after finishing Uni, after being inspired by their weekly practices.

Karine has also previously taught Yoga at Aston University, as part of the BCU Yoga Society, and offered wellbeing days in collaboration with Student Services.

WORKSHOPS & RETREATS

As well as weekly classes we can offer workshops, day retreats, and even longer retreats.

We can decide and create the theme and curate the entire event for you, or work with you in collaboration.

Our studio holds 14, but we also have relationships with other venues that can hold up to 35 people, plus plenty of independent hospitality businesses that can assist with food and drink requirements for events.

BENEFITS OF YOGA FOR STUDENTS

Student life is a whole heap of fun, but can also offer many challenges - moving away from home, taking charge of your own finances, balancing work life and social life.

We have seen first-hand through our work with universities that Yoga, and particularly a holistic approach, as opposed to an “exercise” approach can truly benefit the mental and physical wellbeing of students.

Yoga societies offer a community to join, make friends, have fun and socialise, but also really important time to switch off from your studies and the pressures of life.

As well as the physical movement, we teach concentration, meditation, and breathing techniques which can all be taken off the mat and used in everyday life.

There is time to explore the joy of movement and also the much needed balance of winding down, resting and relaxing.
