COMMUNITY CALM YOGA CLASSES
COTTERIDGE | STIRCHLEY | BOURNVILLE
Same heart.
Same values.
Different setting.
Welcome to Yoga Borne in the community!
Accessible and inclusive yoga, rooted in the community and created for the community.
At Yoga Borne, we believe that yoga is for everyone and every-body.
Our studio in the heart of Stirchley Village is a space we are incredibly proud of. We have worked hard to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can come as you are, with everything you need provided for you — from mats and props to blankets, herbal teas and those little extras that make a visit to Yoga Borne feel special.
We also recognise that, despite working hard to keep our studio prices as fair and accessible as possible, a regular studio class may be beyond the budget of some people in our local community.
And we believe that shouldn't mean Yoga is out of reach.
COMPASSION. CONNECTION. COMMUNITY.
As a small independent business, our studio has significant and ever-increasing overheads, and we need to price our studio classes sustainably so that Yoga Borne can continue to exist and serve our community.
So, rather than lowering the prices of our studio classes, we are taking Yoga Borne out into the community.
Our Community Yoga Classes are an extension of Yoga Borne — not a separate offering, and not a different set of values.
They carry the same vision, the same care and the same three pillars at the heart of everything we do:
Compassion. Connection. Community.
OUR SPACE IN COTTERIDGE
We've found a lovely local community space in Cotteridge where we can gather together, practise Yoga and make classes available at a lower cost.
The difference is simply that these classes have much smaller overheads.
There is no studio space to maintain, no equipment to provide and no extras — just you, your mat, a blanket for support and Savasana, and a welcoming space to practise.
You bring your mat.
You bring your blanket.
We meet you there.
OUR SPACE IN STIRCHLEY
We've found a lovely local community space in Stirchley where we can gather together, practise Yoga and make classes available at a lower cost.
Pinapple House is the most beautiful space, whos values align with ours perfectly.
And even better - you can grab a coffee and pastry after class, take a shower if you need to (please bring your own towel), stay and use the space to work or pop across the rod and get the train to work oif necessary. The location is AMAZING!
Mats provided.
We meet you there.
OUR SLIDING SCALE
£5 — Concession
For anyone experiencing financial difficulty or for whom £5 makes yoga more accessible.
£7 — Standard
Our standard community class price, which is already around 50% less than a standard single class at the Yoga Borne studio.
£10 — Supporter
For those who are able to contribute a little more and would like to help us keep Community Yoga accessible to others.
(Please note there may be a small booking fee.)
There is no judgement attached to which price you choose.
We simply want to make Yoga more accessible and inclusive while creating a model that allows these community classes to be sustainable for a small independent business.
We'll offer a set number of spaces at each price point, and the classes will continue for as long as there is enough demand to make them viable.
Because ultimately, this is what we believe:
Yoga shouldn't be reserved for those who can afford a particular space.
Sometimes accessibility means changing the space, simplifying what we offer and taking yoga to where people are.
And that's exactly what we're doing!
