WHERE IS YOGA BORNE?

Our studio is conveniently located in the heart of Stirchley Village, on Pershore Road.

The address is 1406-1408 Pershore Road, B30 2PH.

Bournville Train Station is just a short from the studio, and there are multiple bus routes that service the area.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

On street parking can be found nearby on Hunts Road, Mary Vale Road and Franklin Road.

There is also parking on Pershore Road, but please check the times and be aware of potential payments.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

We have a fully equipped studio for your comfort and convenience, but please do feel free to bring your own mat and props if you prefer.

For warm classes please bring a small flannel or towel. It is also preferable that you use your own mat / a mat towel.

It is good practice to bring a reusable bottle, which can be refilled at the studio.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Whatever you feel comfortable to move and relax in!

Layers are a good idea as you may get warmer during some classes, and cool down when relaxing.

For our more relaxed classes / Sound Healing experiences, you might want to bring a warm pair of socks.

DO I NEED TO BOOK IN ADVANCE?

We recommend booking classes in advance, as we are quite often fully booked.

HOW DO I BOOK A CLASS?

Head over to the online booking page by clicking here.

We use a booking software called GLOFOX, and recommend that you download the FREE Glofox app, where you can easily manage all class bookings. Download the GLOFOX app, search for Yoga Borne, and enter your details.

HOW DO I CANCEL A CLASS?

Classes need to be cancelled using the GLOFOX app. As a small business we do not manage individual bookings and cancellations.

We have a 24 hour cancellation policy from the class start time. If you cancel 24 hours in advance your credit will returned to your Glofox account and be valid for 1 month PAYG, or within your membership window - monthly members.

If you do not cancel in advance your credit will be lost. We do not offer refunds, carry-overs or exchanges.

WHAT IS YOGA?

Yoga is a mind-body practice that combines physical postures (shapes), breathing techniques, meditation, mindfulness and relaxation.

It originated in ancient India and is now widely practiced around the world for both its physical and mental health benefits.

WHAT STYLES OF YOGA DO YOU OFFER?

We believe that Yoga and holistic wellbeing should be as accessible and inclusive as possible to as many people as possible.

Our weekly schedule offer a variety of classes welcome to all. Take a look at our class descriptions here.

WHAT CLASSES ARE SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS?

Our recommendations for beginners would be BEGIN, SLOW FLOW, SLOW SUNDAY, YIN & YOGA NIDRA.

However, all classes are welcome to everybody and our experienced team will offer options and support.

WHAT CLASSES ARE SUITABLE FOR REGULAR YOGIS?

All of our classes are suitable for regular Yogis, and we recommend FLOW and ENERGISE for those looking for a challenge!

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I PRACTICE YOGA?

That’s completely up to you!

However, if you are looking to feel the physical and mental benefits of Yoga we would recommend 2-3 times a week.

WHAT IS MAT PILATES?

Mat Pilates is based on the original exercises of Joseph Pilates. It is a strengthening and lengthening form of exercise that focuses on your core (trunk) muscles while also training your arms and legs. YB Mat Pilates is a truly invigorating experience.

HOW IS MAT PILATES DIFFERENT TO YOGA?

While both improve strength, flexibility and wellbeing, they have a different focus. Mat Pilates is cebtered around core strength, posture, stablity, and controlled movement. Yoga combines strength and flexibility with breathwork, balance and mindfulness. Pilates tends to feel more like a targeted workout, while Yoga often places greater emphasis on stretching and relaxation.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MAT PILATES?

Regular practice can help improve core strength, posture, balance, flexibility, and overall body awareness.

It also supports joint mobility, helps develop long, lean muscle tone, and reduce everyday aches and pains cause by poor posture and prolonged sitting.

Many of our community practice both Mat Pilates and Yoga - a great combination!
